TORONTOONT. (Feb. 22, 2016) — The Canadian International AutoShow 2016, which wrapped up this past Sunday, has set a new record for the show’s highest ever attendance.

“It was a fantastic year from every perspective,” says Jason Campbell, General Manager of the Canadian International AutoShow. “From the global and North American unveilings to the VIP visits to the top-notch displays from manufacturers and other exhibitors, it all helped to make this show the draw that it is to attendees from across Canada and beyond.”

We attended the event on February 12th for Media Day and were totally amazed at the high quality event that featured hundreds of amazing cars and over 40 new car unveilings.  Check out our live coverage on Instagram and Twitter with hashtag #cias2016.

Ford Performance had some really interesting cars at the show – the all new 2017 Ford GT, 2017 F150 Raptor and 2016 Shelby GT350R.

Of note at the Auto Exotica zone was the 1996 McLaren F1 GTR, which is the racing version of the McLaren F1 road car, which was for more than 20 years the world??™s fastest production car and the first street car with a full carbon fibre chassis.

Another really interesting car was the McLaren 650S with its pin-up poster looks to match its breathtaking performance. With a 3,400 cc twin turbo V8, it will reach a top speed of 333 kilometres per hour, and will crack 100 km/h in three seconds.

Who wouldn’t love the Bentley Continental GT speed convertible is a worthy successor. Drive it with the hood down and a new dimension is revealed. You??™re no longer an observer of the passing landscape but a part of it, with every aspect of your journey amplified in the open air.

We totally loved the Aston Martin DB9 GT with its’ enhanced power and subtle new touches highlight its famously seductive styling.
